John Mackey started a movement when he founded Whole Foods Market, bringing natural, organic food to the masses and not only changing the market, but breaking the mold.
A strong believer in free market principles, Mackey co-founded the Conscious Capitalism movement and co-authored the New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling book entitled Conscious Capitalism, Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business to boldly defend and re-imagine capitalism, and encourage a way of doing business that is grounded in ethical consciousness.
Now, Mackey has written Conscious Leadership, Elevating Humanity Through Leadership which closely explores the vision, virtues, and mindset that have informed Mackey’s own leadership journey, providing a roadmap for innovative, value-based leadership—in business and in society.
Join us on April 12th as the Executives Club of Chicago hosts a conversation with John Mackey and Thea Durfee Polancic, Founder of the Chicago Chapter of Conscious Capitalism. They will discuss what conscious leadership really is and its potential to transform business and the world.
